This blog compiles the work produced by Lilith Dillon-Parkin, aged 16-18, during her time at Birmingham Metropolitan College. This comprises the period 2010-2012. She graduated from her Extended Diploma in Art & Design with the finishing grade of Distinction*Distinction*Distinction, and was 40 points away from Distinction* across the board.
She specialized in Fine Art and 3D at the start of her second year and chose to specialize in 3D for her Final Major Project, producing her first accomplished sculptural installation, No Other Gods Before Me, tackling the themes of addiction and religion in modern British society.
Her work during this course showed the start of her examination of themes which are now integral to her working practice, and so this blog has been left as a testament to her looking back on and discussing the work from this formative period in her life.
Lilith Dillon-Parkin now works under the name Bette Mann and her recent work (as well as work from the 2010-2012 period) can be found on her new artist blog here. Please continue to check this blog for discussion of pieces produced during her EDAD qualification, and her Vimeo for continuing updates of work she is producing currently.
